Personnal training and exercise programs made just for you
Exercise is equally as important as eating the right foods. Here are the reasons you need to get into your fitness gear and start oxygenating those cells!!!
The Importance of Exercise
The majority of the population claim they don't have time for exercise or simply can't be bothered to do any. It's so easy just to hop in the car and drive to the local shop, or get a takeaway every night instead of cooking, but this is unbelievably damaging to us if not now, but in our future!
Why is Exercise so Important?
Being physically active offers many rewards. You can lose weight, become fitter, reduce stress levels , improve sleep patterns, increase your life quality and expectancy, and reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and some forms of cancer. Overall, it makes you feel refreshed and happy! I suggest that everyone should participate in some form of exercise for 60 minutes, 7 days a week, whether it be walking to the shops, running up and down the stairs or going to a weekly aerobics class. Take the stairs rather than the lift, get off the bus one stop earlier and walk the rest of the way, park further away from the shops, run up the stairs when you get to work. It can be difficult to fit exercise into your busy lifestyle, but every little bit helps.
Exercise Food
The key component to good health is a healthy balanced diet. Have a good helping of alkalizing fruit and vegetables every day, and ensure you have fresh, wholesome food that will nourish every part of your cells. You have 100 trillion cells in your body that all need nourishing and looking after. If the body doesn’t get oxygen then we die? Simple!
Water is one of the most important nutrients needed in the body. We take in water when we drink and eat, and lose as part of our elimination process when we sweat, respire and excrete. Therefore, a good balance is needed to make sure we don't get heat stroke or dehydrated, especially when exercising.
Benefits of Exercise
Longevity of life:
There are many research papers to support this and all over the world, people who work harder live longer. This happens by improving all the functions of the systems of the body and by increasing the immunity of the body. The day you stop exercise you lose all the benefits with the interest that means you skip one week you lose two week's benefits.
Increased Functional capacity:
This is the ability of a person to perform daily activities with vigour and alertness depending on his/her fitness levels. As you exercise, your functional capacity gradually increases.
Decreased Fat and Increased Muscle:
As you exercise regularly, body fat decreases slowly; especially if you are doing low intensity and prolonged duration of exercise. For muscle to improve you must do strength exercises at least 2-3 times a week. So a persons fatness or muscularity explains the food and activity habits of the person.
Increased flexibility:
It is important to do some mobility exercises as a part of regular exercise regimen. These will help you to maintain the movement in the joints and the elastic ability of the muscles and tendons.
Protection from Heart Disease and diabetes:
With regular exercise, coronary arteries (blood vessels which supply the heart muscle) have less chances of having blocks thus reducing the risk of heart attacks. Even after heart disease, it's the exercise that is the corner stone of rehabilitation. The right intensity of the exercise helps to get good sugar control in a diabetic persons.
Protection from Osteoporosis:
Exercise is the best tool to protect from brittle bone "osteoporosis”. Strength exercise and weight bearing exercises greatly help along with good diet.Better Immunity:
As we exercise regularly our immune globulins the proteins which are responsible for immunity increase. It is a fact that the more we exercise, the better the immunity of the person.
Mental wellbeing:
It is seen that people who exercise regularly are more positive in nature and enjoy the best of life. The hormones that are released during exercise make us feel happy and alert.
Exercise doesn't have cost you:
Effective exercise doesn't have to cost you much, in fact exercising outside in the fresh air and sunshine is very beneficial. Walking, running, cycling, climbing, sailing etc. Even in the winter months it can give you a real boost to get that fresh air into your lungs.
The most important thing about exercising is to do something that you enjoy!! Don’t delay starting your exercise regime, it could be the best thing you have ever done!
